Storyteller, translator, musician

Anisuz Zaman was born in 1962 in Bangladesh. He is a storyteller, translator, literary organizer and musician. In 1985, he went to Japan for employment, then to Mexico—later he established his own business there. Currently living permanently in California with his wife and children, he translated Colombian Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez’s novel ‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’ from Spanish to Bengali. Later he translated Juan Carlos Onetti, Juan Rulfo and Angeles Mastretta into Bangla. He has translated some Bangla classics and popular fiction into Spanish. Besides translation, he regularly writes short stories and works on music.
