
Dr. Mahbub Haque

Dr. Mahbub Hoque is currently working as a Program Director and Chief Scientist in the Space & Terrestrial Communication Directorate (STCD) in the communication research lab under the Department of Defense (DoD), Fort Monmouth , NJ . In his Program Director capacity, he serves as a Division Chief providing engineering solutions in the areas of electromagnetic and spectrum management for tactical communication. As a Chief Scientist, he leads the basic research program of more than 350 engineers in STCD. Prior to joining in DoD, (from 1996 to 2000) he served as a Director in Telcordia Technologies (previously know as Bellcore) heading EMI and spectrum management group. In 1995 in recognition of his contribution and leadership in the EMC area he received Bellcore's Individual President's Recognition Award. Dr. Hoque joined Bellcore in 1988 as a Member of Technical Staff and in 1992 he was promoted to Principal engineer and than Director. He received his PhD in EE (1983) from the University College London, UK and his BSEE (1976) and MSEE (1977) from BUET, Dhaka with Honors and distinction where he also served as a faculty member (from in the Department of Electrical Engineering.
